Hi Shannon,
You can also contact Knitty with any errata to the patterns published there, as that is ultimately what I'll have to do.

But, yes, you're absolutely right about that. There's a YO, then two knit stitches, then a YO.

The marker is placed between the two knit stitches.

Hi, Sorry to post this here, but I can't find an email address or other way to contact you re: other patterns!

About a year ago I bought the yarn to knit Bad Penny… and I just started tonight. I was a slightly over-eager beginner when I purchased the yarn so this is actually my first sweater of any kind (sort of lies, I started one that was knit flat and hated it so quickly abandoned it). I’m curious about the increases. The pattern reads:

Inc round 2: K to 1 st before marker, yo, slip marker, k 1, yo.

I read that as leaving one stitch before the marker, yo, but then of course you can’t slip the marker as you’ve still got a stitch in the way! So I knit up to the marker, yo, slip marker, k1, yo which works obviously, but looking at your picture it looks like the directions should read:

Inc round 2: K to 1 st before marker, yo, *k 1*, slip marker, k 1, yo.

The 'fix' is between the *s.
