This weekend, I spent some time re-re-re-organizing my studio. I was looking for one of my sketchbooks, and couldn’t find it. (The tan one on the far left.) I’ve got a lot of different books, but the thick black one with stuff sticking out of it is the most free-flowing of all of them.

The Pile

I took some photos of some of the pages, just to share how I keep track of my ideas. I need to get back in the habit of carrying one with me all the time. I miss it.

My hands are such a mess right now. It’s “windy season” and so dry and dusty. I’ve been walking to work the past two weeks. I love it, but still have to get used to wearing my sunscreen-enriched super duper lotion.

This has been a pretty good week so far, I guess. I went to acupuncture on Tuesday. I’m so loose now! I quit going pretty abruptly in August last year, and just started back up again. I missed it! I love my acupuncturist, too. She and her husband have a really interesting office. I’ll try to take some pics next time. It’s pretty good. It’s messy, but not dirty. I’m so so happy with everyone I see here in Las Cruces. The hair cutter, the dentist, the nurse practitioner, the gyno…who else…the yarn store, the organic market. Everyone is so good. They’re so NICE.

But yeah, getting back to the puncture has been great. I LOVE going. And I feel SO GOOD.

Oh! Just a note: if you’ve emailed me with a question or something and it’s taking me a long time, please remind me.

Hello! I am sorry to leave a comment which really should be an email, but I couldn’t find an address to email and I figured since you moderate comments anyway you can just not let this one through!
I had bookmarked a couple of your patterns early in the year - Camellia, and another that I can’t remember the name of - but that was via tripod, and since you moved I can’t get onto glampyreknits.com at all - Firefox AND IE just say the page is down. So, I think I have 2 questions -
    1. Is there a problem with your site or is it a problem my end? and 2. If I buy Fitted Knits, is Camellia in there? That might be the easiest thing.

Oh, and I love your scrapbooky notebooks!

    Best wishes, Sally

Haha! Your hands look like mine! Except I haven’t been brave enough to put nailpolish on recently.

I wish I could get into the habit of a knitting journal, or even a design journal. My head just isn’t there.

    Sally,

My shop is accessible just by clicking “the shop” link at the top of this page. The web address is just www.glampyreknits.com.

And then you can click through that site by hitting the crown-shaped buttons on the left.

My moving this blog didn’t affect the shop at all. Maybe you just need to hit ‘refresh’ because it’s definitely working.

For a while, I was way over my bandwidth, so it may have been bouncing people, but that’s been corrected.

In terms of the book, the only repeat is what is formerly known as the “Bulky Mini Cardigan” and is now “Cropped Cardigan”.

Okay. I’m also one of those people who can’t figure out how to e-mail a question. I bought the book. I love the book. I want to make the bold and bulky mini-cardi. However, the sizing scares me. I’m at 33-inch and the small is 38-inch. I notice the sizes for the pattern on your site are considerably smaller. Is it supposed to fit loose? I’ll use your formula in the book to adjust, but I’m not sure what to adjust to. 34? 36? 33? Help!

Is a studio EVER truly organized? I subscribe to the theory of a person who is TOO organized is sick…er, OCD…er… Aw heck. I am just jealous. :*D But nothing is more annoying than looking for something you KNOW you have that you just cannot freakin’ find.
You realize you either a. have too many hobbies b. have to much sh…stuff… c. aren’t anal enough or *and I prefer this* d. are so creative that the world isn’t large enough to contain all your creativity.
That is my story and I am stickin’ to it.
I am glad you found your schtuff /sketch books. I do the same thing with clothing designs *sewing*. Because I sew, I CANNOT buy a blinkin’ dress for $250. I will sketch it, or in the lovelerly time of the photo-phone, pop a pic of it, and take the imag and find a pattern that I can alter to fit the style of the outfit I like. There have been times I have purchased a piece of clothing to make a pattern from it, and then returned it a day or so later, unworn. :*D
I used to stand in stores and sketch the little girl’s dresses when my daughter was a wee one because the very idea of spending $75 up for a dress for a baby/toddler made me twitch and get a tick in my eye.
Yes, it is been WICKED windy and oddly dry in Maryland. Whoda thunk it? My hubby works down in Canton and his hands are SO blinkin’ dry..and he iisn’t a blue collar worker. Its just this weather and wind is killing his hands. I made him slather his hands with coconut oil and put on gloves before bed the other night because his hands were so terribly rough and dry. Organic coconut oil is to DIE for for the skin. I am pretty sure Whole Foods in Mt.Washington has a good brand. :*D
