Tan sweater on a tan dirt road:

tan on tan

We went out to look for places to do the photo shoot for the pattern for the sweater I’m wearing in my “author photo” in the book. We have to be a little more creative here in Las Cruces than we did in Mainz. The scenery is just different. No random castles or lush green ivy-covered walls. Las Cruces has its charms. There are tons of interesting sites…we just have to figure out how to use them.

Here’s an image that says a lot about this town:

Some days no matter how much I get done, I just have this feeeeeling that something remains UN done. Something major. Like if someone were to walk in on me sitting here at the computer, I’d be embarrassed because maybe they know what I SHOULD be doing. So I’m a little on guard. It’s a very odd feeling.

I had a big proposal due today and got that done and turned in.
I owed sketches to a friend at a yarn company and got those sent off.

I’m going back through my email with a fine-toothed comb. What IS it?

Maybe the feeling is just that “waiting to hear the verdict” sort of limbo feeling.

OH: A really good thing happened today! I walked into the main office in the department…and the secretary told me I look “skinnier and taller!” This walking to work and my ‘diet’ (in quotes because I *try*) have apparently been working.

I love that sweater! LC is so cool in its own little way. Have you been to Ruidoso yet? In summer if you need places to shoot and it’s too effing hot in LC, that is a nice spot.

    Hi

I have just flicked through your book Fitted Knits which arrived today, and left a review of that as well as some other ‘alternatvie style books I received today. See my blog www.erssie.blogspot.com.

i have a publishing dilemma, would very much like to ask your advice about a book I am working on myself as a sole author, can I contact you off line? It has nothing to do with trying to ask your opinion on the actual patterns, it is more of a philisophical question and contracts! Thanks

I’m joining the bandwagon–I saw you on Knitty Gritty today. You looked great and the pattern was awesome too. (LIke I need another pattern to add to the list.) Its also fun to see the FOs from your book.
