Cirilia sent the patterns and Kate has gone and made the cutest version of this dress. And I found a nice jersey print in good ‘redhead colors’. My desire for this dress has been building and building over the last few weeks…and I might just have reached the point at which it MUST be made.
Kate made hers in one day.

I just posted about the Built by Wendy patterns I just got! I have her book, and I love it. Isn’t nice to know you could make all your own clothes if you wanted to?
HA! Kate and I know each other in real life! And better yet, we ALL share a birthday. What are the odds?! That is a great print, can’t wait to see the finished version.

wow. thanks! i made a 2nd version in a cotton that i am even happier with. (pics are pretty bad, but I’ll try and get some good ones soon) I added some waist shaping to the jersey after the blog pic was taken, too. the only tricky part was the front panel, but lots of pins and basting helped, especially with the knit.
