Carolyns-drop-stitch-tank2

This is Carolyn’s version of the Drop-Stitch Tank from Fitted Knits. I taught a class on this top at Unravel last month, and Carolyn was in my class! This is amazing to see, because Carolyn was not so sure that she’d get gauge on the lace pattern, and I think it looks like her practice REALLY paid off!!

Great job, Carolyn!!

    Cindy:

Did I tell you that I finished my Teva Durham top on the afternoon that I bought the yarn??

That was such a great, fast knit! thanks for the idea!!

Gorgeous! Love the color, texture, pattern.

Stef - think this tank would easily be modified to include sleeves? I’m a girl w/ chunky upper arms and would love to make this pattern but could not go sleeveless; that would be bad very bad.

    Lanns,

You could do that so easily! Just make rectangles out of the ribbing or in the stitch pattern and sew them on. There’s no armhole shaping on the top, it’s just 2 rectangles itself!

    Stef,

I can’t wait to see your Teva top. I’ve made 2 so far, they are so quick and comfortable!

    Happy weekend.

It’s great to see this beautiful tank on a REAL body. (No disrespect to the model in the book, but…well…you know…)
It would’ve been nice to see a back view as well, but I’m not complaining! : )
I do have a couple of questions, though:
The pattern says knit the size 6″ smaller than your measurements. So, what happens if 6″ is between sizes listed? For example, I measure about 42″,
Do I go with the 35″ or the 38″?
Also, does this top have to be knitted in two pieces on straight needles?
