Congratulations!! Wow. Ya don't drop by a blog for a little while, ya go back and WHAM!! Someone's gettin' all Mommy-licious! Squeeeeeee!!!
I'm very happy for you, and am glad that you're thrilled.
Looks like I'm the only one here who's blissfully child-free, so I have no "me too" anecdotes to add.
But I'm happy for all of yas!
Now...where's my knitting...?

congratulations on the pregnancy! i am another fan of your knitting - and other musings.
i'm glad you are feeling well - i remember the tiredness very well, and thankfully also the absence of sickness (apart from not being able to drink or even smell coffee...). the tiredness quickly faded after the first trimester, but i too felt huge from about the second month onwards, all my trousers suddenly seemed very uncomfortable.
i am a mother of a "ginger ninja" with brown eyes - but indeed, the redheadedness came from the grandparents' generation and not from us parents, but you never know!
keep well and enjoy the journey :)

I've been lurking on your blog since I saw you on Knitty Gritty.

I'm just over 12 weeks pregnant with my first. I think you're about the same? Congrats. I look forward to your pregnant-knitting posts. I haven't started knitting baby stuff yet, I'm still catching up on knit baby gifts for all my firends who have or will soon have babies. But I'm sure I'll start knitting my own baby's closet soon.

Congrats again!

i just found out i'm pregnant too (9 weeks) & am weirded out about how puffy my belly has become. i just feel fat, though, not really pregnant. and i feel you on the sweets issue - i usually live on sweet things but can't even bring myself to eat a cookie now. so weird.

congrats! I have been abig fan of yours for a long time. I am a new mother to a 5 month old & life is great. I hope you enjoy the process. As a scientist I am sure you will, It is amazing what our bodies are capable of!! YOU ARE MAKING A PERSON. its really cool. Eat well take care, not much you can do about the water weight at some point you will accept it and let go..it comes with the process. I had a hard time and actually cried one time when I saw how much I weighed. Best thing you can do for yourself is to execise through out your pregnancy. I did up to the last 2 weeks and it really helped with the delivery. good luck knitting once your a mom, though. Man, its a lot of work-but its profoundly rewarding.
