I just to thank you for these talking about these gross things. I just went into the doctor today and I have to go get an ultrasound tomorrow because I might have fibroids or something of the like. Anyway, I appreciate it because you saying something about it made me think, "hmm, my body is acting funny." I hope I will be able to get it all resolved.

Congrats on the baby! I'm sure you were glad to see a fibroid free uterus. I had mine taken out in Feb. for the same reason...one was the size of a bowling ball! It's really amazing though what they can do now with surgery and/or drugs to shrink those pesky fibroids and leave women with their fertility.

I think I cried FROM relief! I was like, He's IN there!! There he IS! It's not some big hormone-induced fakeout.

(I read that sometimes early menopause can give false + on preg. tests...so was semi-thinking that was it!)

Someone left a comment yesterday that I accidentally erased (It was in the middle of 3 viagra spams). It said something like, "aren't they all girls until later on?"

And it's true that the babies' male/female parts aren't developed for a few more weeks, but each sperm carries either an X or a Y chromosome. So that even though the embryo isn't obviously one or the other, it's already been determined which it'll be.

Amazing.

Another thing going on besides being tired and mentally challenged is that now I have some sort of a pinched nerve (sciatica?) near my tailbone.

It hurts SO much. I can take regular strength Tylenol...but it doesn't really help. I'm afraid to take m/t one at a time. I end up spending a lot of time on my back on the heating pad...does anyone have any other suggestions?

Chiropractor? Acupuncture?

Cute ultrasound! I didn't cry at any of my ultrasounds just coz I was still in disbelief (that I was actually pregnant). I was also usually so glad that all was in order that my main emotion was relief. So glad that you are all tumor free and full of baby!!

Many many congratulations! And it's not weird at all to know it's a boy. When I heard my older son's heartbeat for the first time I knew he was a boy. Just knew it. And I was right!

There's a new at-home test on the market that claims to be able to tell the sex of your baby at just 6 weeks gestation. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I've been itching to hear how it works! It's pretty expensive, so you'd have to be really committed to wanting to know early! Here's a link to the website where you can purchase the test: http://www.tellmepinkorblue.com/

Many, many congratulations on the baby (what a fantastic ultrasound picture!!!). Enjoy every minute!
