OH GOOD! I'm so glad that you were able to find time to knit. I'm imagining that i will, too. I hope so. it's so hard to imagine what it'll be like to actually have the baby!

You'll be heartened to know that I knit a lot when my first daughter was a baby. Once you both get the hang of it, you can nurse and knit at the same time. And then when the baby falls asleep in your lap... well you could put the baby down and likely wake it. Or stay glued in the chair and get another good piece of knitting in.
Plus for a while at least your responsibilities are simple (take care of baby), yet it will seem like you are not getting anything at all done. Knitting's a good antidote for that.

OK, I have to admit that I'm just guessing that the sweater will fit an 18-24 month old. I don't know any! But I'll measure it! :)

Thanks for the suggestions on baby sweater patterns...I'll have to check out "one skein"...and I like the front flap idea with the buttons!

Baltimore Shout Out!! Hi A Good Yarn peeps!!! Lorraine is definitely one woman who encouraged me to "Just try it!" I love that shop!!

Love your BSJ! Could you measure and tell us what the chest measurement is? I would love to make another one for my son (the first one used koigu and was tiny) and he will be in 18-24m size this fall.

When I saw Brooklyn Tweed's baby sweater, I also thought, "Man that would be an awesome sweater for an adult". I say go for it.

Oh, I have been trying to comment here for a long time, I am so excited that I finally got my password working.
1. Congrats on the baby! Like I said, it's been a while!
2. As a Baltimore girl, I wanted to tell you that the ladies at A Good Yarn love your patterns and are so happy you had a book published.
3. I think that something simple out of that yarn like a raglan pullover with a button seam in the fronts would be cute...really easy so that you can "wing it" as you go along. :)

Do you have the One Skein Book by Leigh Radford? There is the cutest newborn baby sweater pattern that's pretty simple, you might want to check it out.
