Mailbag Thursday!! « »

fiber oasis set

Well, well, well. Very pretty things in today’s mailbag. (I say as if we always do mailbag on Thursday.)

These are yarns hand dyed by a friend that I met in Albuquerque when I was at Village Wools for that book signing.

They’re 50% Merino, 50% Kid Mohair. I’m afraid my photos don’t do them justice. I’m in the office and it’s a little dark in here today. I’ll try for better shots when I swatch!

Ashley has a site that WILL go here, but for now…she has an Etsy shop chock full of pretty things!

Did you see the earrings! They’re sparkly-yarn wrapped beads and will look great with my new haircut!!

Thanks so much for the comment. I’m hoping to find a doc that doesn’t just give pills to solve everything. The yarn you got is real purty. I have a new neighbor who is going to raise angora goats and I am looking forward to getting some of his handspun in the next year or so. (I’m not sure if he dyes stuff or what, but he does spin!)

Just a quick note about your pregnancy. Congratulations! Babies are so precious. Now, about to circumcise or not…..I have two boys - 26 and 19. I did. If you decide to, insist that they numb your baby first. They fought with me over this but I insisted and won, of course, and afterwards several nurses thanked me for insisting because they’ve found that the babies do much better if they are numbed first. The doctors just don’t want to take the time to do it. I did ask the doctor if he would like to be cut on without being numbed. He didn’t like that very much. But DO insist on it. I had my first done without and the second done with and boy was I glad. There is a noticable difference in them. I hope this helps.
