« Sunflower Knitting Guild: Knitting in the Heartland Mazie in the sun »
I sent off the last garments, last patterns, and the whole MANUSCRIPT for Glam Knits last week!!
I sent the last pages on Friday. Both that camel tweed sweater from the author photo of Fitted Knits and the blue scarf I posted about here are in the new book, so if you’ve been wondering what happened to those…there they are.
Now there are two patterns on the TO DO list to write up for SWTC, and I’m done will all of my current projects.
I’ve got the garments on the mannequins, so they’re staring me in the face…FINISH US! (I AM!!!)
Me after not much sleep…no makeup in pajamas:

Today, Mazie and I have been hanging out while Nate took a little nap. We’ve had a few sleepless nights in the last 6 weeks, believe it or not, and we’re both trying to make up the deficit this weekend. Mazie’s sleeping in her Peanut Shell (her baby carrier pouch thing) while I work on the computer…we’ve had a really nice day together.
My sister’s here from Boulder to see her new niece. We celebrated Tonya’s visit and the finishing of the book by all going out to eat on Friday night. We took little Mazie with us, and she did great. As long as we change her diaper, tank her up on milk, and drive a few blocks to get where we’re going, she sleeps right through dinner. Not that we don’t love her company when she’s awake, but she’s just starting to outgrow the phase where if she’s awake she’s hungry (and either crying to let you know or eating because she *already* cried.) So it’s good when she can get through a whole meal! Last night, Grandma baby sat so we could go see a film.

congrats on the finished manuscript!
How is the cloth diapering goin? You made such sweet little nappies. My fiance/husband in 11 days and I are goin to be going for a s econd baby and I am going to make them this time around. I just bought mine last time.
Maize looks soo lovely and healthy! She has some cheeks on her! I love her name, I almost named my daughter that. But it got vetoed because it didn’t go with the last name.
I just love the baby sling. I remember 16 years ago I was slinging my baby around. I remember I could walk and nurse her at the same time in the sling. Litttle Mazie looks like a doll! Can’t wait for the book. I’m trying to get most of my Fitted Knits projects done before it hits the stores.
yeah!! i am so excited for that sweater. congratulations on the book and the new little angel in your life.

I loved my baby sling. Mazie is darling.
Congrats on finishing the manuscript, it must be nice to be nearly done with your current projects and can (hopefully) get some rest.
i am so happy for you and your family!! What adorable pics of you and the baby and your sis. I know there are lots of people waiting for the pattern for the “author sweater”. We had a thread on Ravelry about it with fans wondering when it may be coming out- we know you’ve been busy…Now, you’ll be seeing them everywhere, in all sorts of yarns and colors too. If I have one more I am definitely doing the cloth diapering thing, so much better for all. My DD got diaper rashes, I bet Maize never has one:)
She is a little doll, what a cutie pie.
You made so many different kinds of cloth diapers. Which ones are working out the best? Would you be willing to post detailed instructions of how to make them (or where to get the pattern for them)? We want to make our own cloth diapers too and are overwhelmed by all the different choices. Thanks!
I enjoy and appreciate your updates with all that’s going on in your life . . . . am also very excited to buy the new book. Any idea when it will be available? Christine
