I LOVE that we got you addicted!! Ha.

Have you tried a toe-up heel flap? That's my latest fave; and then I do crazy things on the heel flaps. I've learned NOT to do anything stranded on the heel flaps, however, because it wears through. :(

I love your cable socks.

Love the toe-ups!

I love the idea of top-ups and have gone nuts trying to avoid the holes in the short row heels. I've tried all the ways to pick up the wraps, twist the stitches, etc. to no avail, still unacceptably holey for me. Now I'm using Wendy Johnson's (wendyknits.net) 'Toe-ups with the gusset on the bottom of the foot' pattern and love it. Having a gusset on the bottom of the foot sounded ridgy and painful but it's not that at all. It's on her free pattern page and is worth a try if the holes bug you as much as they did me.

BTW, congrats on Miss Mazie sleeping through the night. She is such an adorable little person.

I love the cabled socks, too. I am totally impressed that you knit them so fast with a baby in the house! You have my vote for a pattern for them also.

Those cabled socks are amazing. I've never had an interest in knittings socks (too many stitches for such a small piece of clothing).

I also couldn't but help notice that in the last pic, you've got another project on the needles. Could it be another new fantastic design? :D

Oh wow, those cabled socks kick ass! If you ever find time to write up a pattern, I'm sure I can't be the only one who would love to have it. That's amazing to me that you just ad libbed the kind of design that would blow up instantly on Knitty. Toe up socks for the win!
